Project Overview
The existing pavement of the Taipei Songshan Airport had been in use for more than 30 years with visible pavement distress and the need for refurbishment.
Furthermore, with an increasing need to accommodate an escalating traffic volume, the taxiway system and part of the adjacent aprons having a total area of 130,000 square meters was in need of reconstruction.
To carry out the reconstruction work, the parking stands and maintaining the operations of the airport were taken into consideration while re-using the existing pavement as subbase material.
Other relevant construction works for the project included common utilities, drainage, lighting and navigational facilities.
