CECI reaches a new milestone in its commitment to Taiwan’s renewable energy future with the signing of an agreement on February 7 with Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) for technical services related to the offshore subsea cable works for the Fengmiao 1 Offshore Wind Farm Project. As a flagship project of the Round 3-1 Zonal Development Phase, Fengmiao 1 continues to set the pace in development progress and stands out for its strong collaboration with the local supply chain, further enhancing Taiwan’s offshore wind power expertise.
During the signing ceremony, CIP Taiwan Managing Director Ms. Marina Hsu noted the warm friendly ties CIP has established with CECI since entering Taiwan’s offshore wind power market in 2017. Previous collaborations included underwater foundation design and installation assessment for the Changfang and Xidao wind farms, as well as the underwater foundation design for the Fengmiao 1 project. Building on the mutual trust and understanding fostered through these joint efforts, CIP and CECI look forward to further contributing to the advancement of Taiwan’s offshore wind power sector.
CECI Chairman, Dr. Shih Yi-Fang, expressed his appreciation of the ongoing collaboration with CIP and recognized its leading role in the global offshore wind power industry. He commended CIP’s efforts in bringing its successful development experience to Taiwan and emphasized CECI’s honor in being part of this energy development team. Dr. Shih also expressed hope that this partnership would create a win-win synergy while contributing to the advancement of Taiwan’s green energy sector.
The 500 MW Fengmiao Phase 1 Wind Farm is expected to be operational by 2027, providing stable, large-scale green electricity to Taiwanese enterprises and assisting in Taiwan’s transition to a low-carbon, sustainable future.
