Project Overview
The King Mswati III International Airport replaced the former Matsapha Airport after being inaugurated in 2014 and has the capacity to handle 300,000 passengers per year. The new international airport terminal is a 3 story RC structure and will enhance the Kingdom's position as a tourist destination, serving as a tourism gateway to Eswatini's game parks and other game reserves in the region.
The theme of the airport represents the honor of the warrior. Visitors are welcomed by the elements of lances and shields in the modern airport that at the same time defend their country all day and night.
CECI provided design and construction supervision services for this project including inter-related civil and landscaping engineering works such as roads, drainage, parking, landscape, etc.
