Project Overview

The Kaohsiung International Airport Stage 2 Expansion Project included a new international terminal building as well as new cargo station, aircraft hangar area and other related landside and airside facilities and works.

​

The new international terminal building is a steel frame structure with one level below ground and three levels above the ground.

 

• The first floor level includes the arrivals and baggage delivery areas,

• the second floor level includes a corridor for arriving passengers and waiting area,

• the third floor area is the departure area and

• the below ground level is a baggage handling area and area for electrical and mechanical engineering facilities.

The total floor space area covers 71, 000 square meters, and the main facilities include 12 boarding gates, 56 check-in counters, 24 departure immigration counters, 36 arrival immigration counters and 6 baggage claim areas.​
